I am a story teller.
As a production designer, I immerse myself into the script, walk a few miles in the shoes of the characters and assist the director in developing the look and depth of each environment. Through designing sets, building props, creating or sourcing costumes, the environment is layered with information about the characters seen on screen.
“The Only Time We Have” – I was given unfettered access to a home that was slated for demolition. For a week, I slept there, ate there, lived there. As a production designer, it was thrilling to transform the environment from a literal squat house to a habitable space.
