A cute short film about mistaken identity. You may not notice that there are about a dozen different actors playing the five bridesmaids. Independent films frequently seem to pose a challenge for actor availability. The biggest challenge on this piece was designing and constructing the bridesmaid dress as a one-size-fits all “buttercream” (as described in the script). I spent weeks draping and drafting patterns. Finally, I settled on a simple circle skirt in which the fullness of the fabric was twisted up into the waist. Some elastic for the bodice back and a sash at the waist allowed for maximum flexibility.
